Schematic Solver is a platform that turns a datasheet into a checked part record and a netlist, and a sheet spec into a drawn and verified KiCad schematic. You reach it as an MCP server over streamable HTTP, and you sign in with a bearer token that the person who runs it gave you.

This server's endpoint is `https://www.schematicsolver.io/mcp`. Where the lines below say `TOKEN`, put your own token; do not paste it into a chat that other people can read.

## Add the server

Claude Code:

```
claude mcp add --transport http schematicsolver https://www.schematicsolver.io/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer TOKEN"
```

Claude Desktop and Cursor take a JSON entry (streamable HTTP, the same header), in `claude_desktop_config.json` or `.cursor/mcp.json`:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "schematicsolver": {
      "url": "https://www.schematicsolver.io/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer TOKEN" }
    }
  }
}
```

Any other agent that speaks MCP over streamable HTTP needs the same two things: the URL and the header.

## Check the token

`/mcp` answers 401 without a valid token. This line prints the status code the server gives; with a good token it is anything but 401 (the empty request body is not a real MCP message, so a 400 is fine):

```
curl -s -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}\n" -X POST https://www.schematicsolver.io/mcp -H "Authorization: Bearer TOKEN" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -H "Accept: application/json, text/event-stream" -d '{}'
```

Leave out the Authorization header and the same line prints 401. If it prints 401 with the header, the token is wrong or was revoked; ask for another.

## Before you start

Read the `ddd-guidance` resource first. It is the process for going from a datasheet to a part record you can trust, and the handoff from that record to the compiler. Read the `card` resource before you call `write_spec`: it is the reference for everything the compiler reads in a sheet spec. The `ddd-examples` and `ddd-policies` resources have samples and a worked policy.

## The website

The same token signs you in to the website: open `/login` on this host, paste the token, and you see your projects. Each project has a rounds page (one row per compile, with the drawing, the warnings, what changed in the spec, and a box for your verdict) and a part sheet page for each part (the record as a designer reads it, with every citation checked and linked to its datasheet page).
